Sunday Service

Worship

All Are Welcome! In addition to holding an in person worship service at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays, we are live streaming the service on our YouTube channel.

10:00 a.m. Sanctuary Worship

Emanuel’s largest weekly Eucharist service is a blend of musical styles and traditions. The service is graced with vocal choirs, bell choirs, wind instruments, organ, piano, and percussion.  We use a multitude of sources for hymns and liturgical music, with the largest portion coming from Evangelical Lutheran Worship (the ELW).

During the school year, children from pre-k (age 3) to Grade 5 are welcome to participate in Sunday School. They will be dismissed from worship at the appropriate time. During the summer months, we offer a Children’s Message in addition to the sermon.

A fellowship time with refreshments is provided each week after each service.

Holy Communion – All Are Welcome

  • Holy Communion (the Eucharist) is celebrated at all Sunday morning services.
  • We trust that Christ is the host of this Holy Meal. All who are baptized in any Christian tradition (including children of any age) are welcome to receive the bread and wine. Please come to the Table of the Lord!
  • Gluten-free wafers and grape juice are available. Please indicate your need to the Communion Servers.
  • If you are unable to come forward, please let an usher know and we will be happy to bring communion to you at your seat.
  • If, for any reason, you choose not to receive the bread and wine, we invite you to come forward for a blessing.

Parking

Parking on Sunday Mornings is available in the parking lot in the back of the church (enter on Hungerford Street) and in the State Lot on the Corner of Capitol Ave and Oak Street.
