Worship
We meet for worship on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. We also offer a livestream of our services on YouTube, which you can access by clicking the button below, should you choose to participate from home.
Winter weather cancellations and delays
In the event of heavy snow or ice, the decision whether to go ahead with worship services or to open our church office and our facilities for other gatherings, will be made based on the advice of our state and local governments.
On weekdays, if Hartford Public Schools (HPS) are closed because of winter weather, our Emanuel Church Office will be closed and on-site activities will be cancelled. If HPS opens on a two-hour delay, Emanuel will similarly observe a two-hour delay in opening.
On weekends, school holidays, or when Hartford Public Schools remain open, the decision whether to close the office and/or cancel on-site activities, including worship, due to winter weather will be made by Pastor Mark in consultation with the Council President.
All weather-related church closures will be announced by email and posted to the church website and social media accounts. Most importantly, please use your own best judgment when it comes to your safety during inclement weather. The impacts of winter weather can vary greatly by geography. If it is unsafe to travel in your area, please stay home and stay safe even if Emanuel is open and operating normally.
