Wow! Were you at the Celebration of Baptism luncheon event last month? Our confirmation students radiated God’s love – and impressed the adults and inspired the younger children. It wasn’t so much their eloquence (although they were eloquent) or their knowledge (although they know a lot), but it was their comfort in sharing their thoughts about their faith and their willingness to listen to others. Pastor Corgan and I were reflecting on this and wondering if some of that comfort and confidence comes from practicing “faith talk” with their parents and peers at our bi-monthly confirmation gatherings and from the natural progression of continuing those conversations with family at home. I suspect the Holy Spirit has something to do with it, too.
